Hospital Charity Care
Every nonprofit hospital must offer charity care as a condition of their tax exemption. Ask the billing department for a 'financial assistance application' before paying anything. For households under 200โ300% FPL, many hospitals write off 100% of bills.
Apply for Medicaid
