Family Electric Rate Assistance Program (FERA)

Utility discount program providing an 18% reduction on monthly electric bills for moderate-income households that do not qualify for the CARE discount. Available through California's investor-owned utilities.

Eligibility requirements

  • Households of 3 or more people with income between 200% and 250% FPL who do not qualify for CARE
  • Apply directly through your electric utility provider (PG&E, SCE, SDG&E).
