Breast and Cervical Cancer Services (BCCS) Texas

Free breast and cervical cancer screenings and diagnostic services for uninsured low income Texas women. Includes clinical breast exams, mammograms, Pap tests, HPV tests, and follow up diagnostic testing. Women diagnosed with breast or cervical cancer through BCCS are eligible for Medicaid for Breast and Cervical Cancer (MBCC), which provides full Medicaid benefits during treatment - one of the few full Medicaid pathways available to working age women in non-expansion Texas.

Eligibility requirements

  • Texas women ages 18 to 64, household income at or below 200% FPL, uninsured or underinsured. Pap and HPV screenings starting at age 21. Routine mammograms typically starting at age 50, earlier if symptomatic or high risk.
