Texas Kidney Health Care Program

Helps Texans with end stage renal disease pay for dialysis treatment, kidney transplants, anti rejection medications, and travel costs to treatment facilities. Acts as payer of last resort behind Medicare, private insurance, and any other coverage. No premiums or copays for eligible patients.

Eligibility requirements

  • Texas residents with diagnosed end stage renal disease (ESRD). US citizens or qualifying immigrants. Must apply for and use any other available coverage first. Income limits apply but are higher than most safety net programs.
