Children with Special Health Care Needs Services Program (CSHCN)

Covers medical care, prescription medications, durable medical equipment, family support services, and care coordination for Texas children under age 21 with chronic physical or developmental conditions, and for adults of any age with cystic fibrosis. Acts as payer of last resort. No premium or copay for eligible families.

Eligibility requirements

  • Texas residents under age 21, or any age with cystic fibrosis, with a qualifying chronic medical condition expected to last at least 12 months. Family adjusted income at or below 200% FPL after allowable deductions. US citizens or qualifying immigrants.
