Florida Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK)

Free, high-quality prekindergarten program for all Florida 4-year-olds regardless of family income. Available as a school-year program (540 hours) or summer program (300 hours) at approved providers including public schools, private centers, and faith-based programs statewide.

Eligibility requirements

✓Open to all Florida children who turn 4 years old by September 1 of the program year
✓No income requirement
✓Child must be a Florida resident
✓Apply through the Florida DEL Family Portal or your local Early Learning Coalition
✓No waitlist -- this is an entitlement program.
