Healthy Texas Women (HTW)

Free family planning, well woman exams, and limited preventive health services for low income Texas women. Covers contraception, screenings for high blood pressure, diabetes, cholesterol, and breast and cervical cancer, pregnancy testing, and treatment for postpartum depression. Does not cover general medical care or abortion. HTW Plus extends mental health and substance use services to women in their first 12 months postpartum.

Eligibility requirements

  • Texas women ages 18 to 44 (15 to 17 with parental consent), US citizen or qualifying immigrant, household income at or below 200% FPL, not currently enrolled in Medicaid, CHIP, or Medicare, and not pregnant.
